“Decadence/How It Feel” is a single from their Dirty Slums 2 mixtape that is due for release on January 29th.
I’m standing with Detroit’s food and retail workers who went on strike to demand the respect and livable wage that they deserve. Every job in Detroit should pay enough so that their employees don’t have to rely on public assistance to make ends meet.

Guy sitting across from me in the ER is bleeding heavily from his shoulder and seems to think that this is a great time to trim his fingernails.
I went to a new liquor store that opened up by my place and was surprised that they were checking age (a rare occurrence here) but more surprised with their version of an ID check
Clerk: How old are you?
Me: 25.
Clerk: Cool.
The best part is I’m not 25. Whenever asked for my age I never remember how old I am and give the wrong number unless I really have time to think about it.
On March 13th, (3.13) we’re challenging Detroiters to commit their entire day to service. On Thanksgiving we eat turkey, on the 4th of July we watch fireworks and on St. Patty’s Day we drink green beer. Lets make 3.13, Detroit Day; a special day to celebrate our city by giving back to our communities.
How will you celebrate Detroit on 3.13? How do you think 3.13 Day should be celebrated this year and in the future? What contribution will you make to change our city for the better?
Share your ideas on the Facebook page. Stay tuned to learn how the BWB313 team will be celebrating Detroit on 3.13.
Rick Snyder (Michigan Governor, nerd, Anderson Cooper lookalike contest runner-up) announces that he will appoint an Emergency Manager for the city of Detroit. Since he waited until the first day after Black History Month, my guess is it’ll be a white guy. Anybody is better than the last few city leaders (Kwame Kilpatrick, Black Shrek, point guard for the Pistons).
So proud to be from the Eastside.
The liquor store at the end of my block, Liquor Land, was burned down on Friday morning and I’m pretty upset. I spent almost as much time hanging out there as I do watching Dragnet reruns at home (a lot). We did a lot of cool stuff there over the years and there are tons of great memories I have of the place.
I’m going to miss Liquor Land more than I miss certain dead friends and family members. I was thinking of going up there and spilling out a 40 but now I don’t know where to buy one.
I guess I could just go to the liquor store next door…
To spare my fellow Detroiters the shame and embarrassment of actually watching the Lions fail miserably this year, let me just give you a recap of what will probably happen in today’s game against the Houston Texans:
1. Lions look promising
2. Lions fall apart quickly
3. Lions lose
There, I just saved you a few hours of pain. Now go spend time with your family and be thankful that you only have to see most of them once a year.
